Mindfulness

The week ahead. September 15, 2019

Cards

Ten of Cups, Queen of Wands (inverted), Four of Swords.

Rune

Jera

You've been getting more in touch with your feelings. Learning to better listen to yourself. In tune with your intuition. And it's been a great benefit. After putting in the work you've reached a greater level of understanding. Reading situations by context and tapping into the underlying energies behind the surface. You've got a good handle on things, and a little more control of yourself and your emotions. It's probably been a struggle, but you learned what you needed to.

However you're not sure you're happy about it. With this new awareness comes a new view of things. And it's not always a great one! You're seeing a lot of things that you don't like in places you never noticed before. And it's kind of bumming you out. Seeing the underside of life can be pretty unpleasant and it's starting to affect your outlook. Making you less eager to interact with others and making you feel a little pessimistic about the future.

But be careful of those thoughts! Don't give them too much power. You're walking on new legs and they're still shakey. Learning your emotions is great. But it doesn't necessarily give you insight into the emotions of others. It's important not to let your thoughts run wild. Keep them reigned in and learn to balance intuition with observations. Just because you feel it, doesn't mean you're right. You finished one lesson. But just starting the next. It time to start mastering your thoughts. Don't give too much energy to negativity and be careful to stay grounded in reality. It's easy to get carried away by your feelings. Now that you're more connected, you'll have to be mindful of letting them cloud your judgment. When one lesson ends, another begins. So keep a close eye on your thoughts and keep moving forward.

This week's influence is Jera, the year.
